Gabriel Garcia to lead Texas Stampede

Gabriel Garcia has been named head. Coach of the Texas Stampede. “He is the right man at the right time for the right position”, said James Gumbert. “Gabriel did a fantastic job last year at numerous tournaments and camps where he was the lead. His qualifications as a two time national championship player and coach will serve the team well in the years to come.”

“It is an absolute honor to be named head coach of the Texas Stampede! said coach Garcia. “I certainly have big shoes to fill in carrying on the tradition of the Stampede. However, I am looking forward to the challenge”.

“Our goal for every season has always been to be the champions of the last game on the last day at nationals. That has not changed”, he went on to say. “In preparation for this season, some of our players have joined the low point rugby summer league, others have traveled abroad to play amongst different countries, and other team members have also been in the gym and focusing on the upcoming season. We are happy to welcome back most of the same team from last year with an addition or two. As coach, I'm excited for the season and the challenges it will bring. Go Stampede, Let's repeat!!”

Congratulations Coach Garcia. We look forward to this season!
