The Stampede return to action this weekend in 2 tournaments – Phoenix and Arlington.  “This weekend is going to represent a great chance for growth and overcoming challenges” said coach James Gumbert.  “On one hand you have a select Texas side going to Phoenix to compete in one of the biggest tournaments of the season, and a group of young up and comers going to Arlington to get some valuable on court experience”.

The unique weekend of having 2 tournaments at the same time poses several logistical issues: coaching, staffing, equipment and management. “It will be interesting to say the least”, quipped Gumbert.  “We’re looking to coming away with an overall better Texas team heading into post season”.
