The 2018 US Para-Swimming Nationals will take place Dec. 14-16 in Tucson, Arizona. Nathan Whitten will be competing all three days. The 14th he will be swimming in the timed finals for the 200 free and 50 butterfly. The 15th he will be competing in the prelims for the 100 backstroke and 50 free trying to finish high enough to come back to swim finals for those events. The last day the 16th he will be swimming in the timed finals for the 50 back. These nationals are an opportunity for swimmers to get qualifying times for the 2020 Paralympic swimming trials leading into the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games.

“We are excited for Nathan and will be screaming for him” said Coach James Gumbert. “He is a unique athlete that competes in dual sports”. “We know that he has the ability to do great things in both sports and look forward to the outcome of this event”
