Stampede to play in Paul Gray Memorial

The Texas Stampede wheelchair rugby team gears up for their next challenge as they head to Irving, Texas, to compete in the highly anticipated Paul Gray Memorial Tournament from March 15-17, 2024. Fresh off their top finish at the demolition derby in Birmingham, Alabama, the Stampede are riding a wave of momentum as they prepare for the upcoming national championships slated for May in Tampa, Florida. Ranked second in the country and defending their 2023 national championship title, the Stampede are poised to showcase their dominance on the court.

 

Head coach Gabriel Garcia voiced the team's excitement for the tournament, emphasizing the significance of playing in front of their home sponsor, C and R Medical. "We are excited to play in front of our home sponsor C and R Medical. It's a great chance for the team to be together before Nationals in May," Coach Garcia stated. "This is a chance to improve on building communication and working together on the court." With unity and determination fueling their drive, the Stampede are ready to face their opponents head-on, aiming to solidify their status as one of the nation's top wheelchair rugby teams.
